Founder & Artist

CHITRANKA… christened by my sister, accepted by my family and acknowledged by the world around me; this name has brought a lot with it. Appreciated for the traits it got along, I took up painting as a child. 

But a story without a pinch of flavor is not me. Being a Master’s Degree holder in Journalism, writing has sketched out various roles in my life. City-based leisure magazines, online forums, newspapers and the world of advertising and branding, all this were in my loop; till there was a beginning of whole new life as CHITRANKA which means an artist, as I ventured into a new horizon, to put my creativity and colours on everything worth painting.

The repertoire of CHITRANKA includes fabric, jewelry, murals, canvas, artifacts, home & lifestyle products, for all those who love and appreciate art. The fabric sphere is vast – I have chosen kurtas, kurtis, t-shirts, sarees and dupattas, for now. The range of artifacts includes bottled lights, coasters, magnets, ceramic vases, clay pots and more.

My scope of work involves reviving Indian folk art and art forms inspired by divinity, kitsch, quirk and realism. There’s a touch of mysticism in most of my designs. This space is the unraveled book of my artistic strokes for you, flip through the pages and add a tinge of vivid hues to your life!!!
